Your library card unlocks all of the following at no cost.
Borrowing
- Physical loans: up to 12 items for 3 weeks, renewable twice online
- Digital lending: audiobooks, ebooks and magazines via our app
- Inter-library loans: request titles from any UK library for a small handling fee
Study and work
- Silent study room (bookable in 2-hour slots)
- Meeting rooms for community groups (charges apply for commercial use)
- Free WiFi throughout both branches
- PCs with Microsoft 365, print/scan at 10p per page
Support and advice
- Digital skills drop-ins with trained volunteers
- Job club: CV help and interview practice on Mondays
- Citizens Advice partnership: free legal advice sessions monthly
- Bereavement café: informal peer support first Wednesday afternoon
Not a member yet? Membership is free for anyone living, working or studying in the borough. Bring proof of address to either branch, or apply online via the council website.
